That Kapsalon

What happens when two cultures decide to merge together to create a delicious – yet greasy, iconic dish? Kapsalon happens. This Turko-Dutch fast food plate created by a hairdresser started trending since 2003, and has since spread throughout the country and even to Belgium. The kapsalon is most commonly consumed after a good night out, as many customers put it: “I’m usually pretty drunk when I eat it because it’s just so tempting”. This dish is a combination of the typical Dutch Fries covered by all of the ingredients found in a Shoarma, creating a surprising fusion of tastes in the fast food world. You can find any person of any age enjoying one of these at the various Turkish restaurants found at almost every corner of The Netherlands.
