The inkonvenient truth

This year, a new printing system “Myprint” was implemented in Erasmus University Rotterdam. Not only does the system allow you to print from four different devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets and student workstations) but it finally works in the homogenous way across the university campus. Despite that, the system has aroused a lot of controversy among students and even the university staff. Why is it so? The problem lies in the payment method, which is by many considered too difficult or too complex. You cannot pay by cash or even a credit card directly. Either you have to use the mobile app to charge your printing account or charge it in the university library. As it turns out, however, the system is not that problematic once you get a hang of it. What are the reasons behind the bad reputation of “Myprint” then?
