Rotterdam: From a destroyed heart to the number 6 on Lonely Planet

Rotterdam hasn’t always been the beautiful city it is today. After being bombed to the ground during World War 2, Rotterdam had to be rebuild almost entirely. Obviously, this typical hard-working mentality of the citizens of Rotterdam paid off, resulting in the most state-of-the art city of The Netherlands. During this video, we follow a real “Rotterdammer” in his stories about his experiences of his hometown. We compared those stories to the stories of people who are recently new in town. This results in a story in which 60 years of the Rotterdam experiences are covered, from a bombed place to a fabulous city.
